Reply:i think that looks are the most important element in initial attraction, but you will find that the hottest guy/girl can become almost ugly if they have an ugly personality and somebody you may not be attracted to at a glance could become gorgeous if your personalities gel!

It's a combination of both, what the exact percentages are will vary from woman to woman. But personally a hot guy who knows he is hot and has an ego because of it is a real turn off!

Reply:Partly both. Looks is what sort of brings up the whole "potential mate" thought, but personality is what keeps it there. If someone's completely pointless or arrogant, than they can kiss my rear goodbye.

Reply:attraction is a must, but that doesn't mean the guy has to be super hot, it just means that the chemistry has to be there to intrigue me to get to know him better. personality is what will make/break the deal every time.

Reply:Looks are definitely important because you need to be attracted to someone in order for it to transcend from being merely a platonic relationship to a romantic involvement. However, looks will only take you so far because if there isn't a good personality behind it as well, it's like buying a brand new convertible only to pop the hood and see that there is no engine (sorry bad analogy there but deal with it : P). What good is someone who looks physically appealing if they can't even hold a conversation or are just an a*shole, I mean who would really want to be with that? So to answer your question, a balance of both is key for me to be completely attracted to a guy.
